The Guild

 

Dumfries Guild meets on the second Saturday of the month from 10.00am to 3.30pm at St. Teresa's Church Hall, Glasgow Street, Dumfries. The business part of the meeting is held at 10.30 and there is a break for lunch.

  • The Guild exists to provide a sociable environment for members to practice their skills, learn new skills and pass them on to interested beginners. Members participate in informal and formal work-shops, demonstrate in schools and at historic re-enactments and craft fairs.

    Workshops

     

    Members have priority at all workshops up to one month before the workshop date. Remaining places are then available to non-members/visitors. With regard to limited numbers workshops.......places are reserved by contacting Programme Secretary Anne Arnold or by filling in your details in the Workshop Logbook. Payment of a £5 deposit is necessary at time of booking. This is non-refundable. A small charge for material may be made by the Turor.

     

    Refreshments

     

    Tea, Coffee, Biscuits etc. are available at Guild meetings (donation towards cost £1). Members bring a packed lunch except for our Christmas meeting in December when food to share is brought instead.
